Use Sync Socials with ChatGPT

Plan content, save drafts, schedule approved posts, and check delivery from your conversation.

What you need

  • A ChatGPT account that can use apps. Your organization may control which apps are available.
  • A Sync Socials workspace with API access and eligible billing status. Growth includes API access.
  • The Owner role in the workspace you want to connect.
  • Connected social accounts before scheduling or publishing. You can save an untargeted draft first.

New to Sync Socials? Create your workspace before connecting ChatGPT. The eligible 7-day trial requires a card, costs $0 today, then renews at $19.95/month unless canceled before the trial ends. Your ChatGPT plan is separate.

Connect your workspace

  1. Open Sync Socials in ChatGPT and choose Connect.
  2. Sign in to Sync Socials with your workspace-owner account.
  3. On the consent screen, check your workspace, email, requested access, and the return destination. Choose Allow access to approve the connection.
  4. Return to ChatGPT and ask it to show your Sync Socials workspace and connected accounts.

Account linking uses a separate authorization. You do not need to generate a Sync Socials API key or paste credentials into a chat. Connecting ChatGPT does not connect your social accounts automatically; add those in Sync Socials Connections.

Start with a draft

Show my Sync Socials workspace, connected accounts, and scheduled posts. Do not change anything.

Then save a caption for review:

Save this caption as an untargeted Sync Socials draft: “A small update that makes the everyday easier.” Name it “Product update draft.” Do not schedule or publish it.

For media, choose an existing library asset, upload through the dashboard, or provide a downloadable HTTPS URL you are authorized to use. Files attached to a ChatGPT conversation are not automatically in your Sync Socials media library.

Concept and media-generation features may need an AI provider configured in the workspace, with separate provider charges. Generation can run asynchronously; check the saved post for completion before scheduling it.

Schedule or publish approved content

Choose the exact post and destination accounts. Include the date, time, timezone, and required platform privacy or disclosure choices.

Schedule my approved “Product update draft” to the Facebook Page I selected on October 15, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. America/New_York. Keep the caption and media unchanged. Show me the saved schedule.

To publish now, explicitly ask ChatGPT to publish the selected content to the accounts you name. Saving a draft does not publish it. Check the delivery result afterward: queued or processing does not mean the post is live.

You can edit drafts, reschedule planned posts, or cancel a scheduled post before delivery. Canceling a Sync Socials post does not retract content already published on a social network.

Supported destination accounts

Sync Socials supports Facebook Pages, linked Instagram professional accounts, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn personal profiles, Telegram, Discord, Slack, and X/Twitter. Facebook and Instagram connections are available for new and existing customers.

For Meta platforms, use a Facebook account that can manage the Page. Link your Instagram professional account to that Page before connecting. Personal Facebook profiles, personal Instagram accounts, Pinterest, and LinkedIn company pages are not supported.

Ask ChatGPT to list your connected accounts before selecting a destination. Available post formats and limits depend on the platform.

X is included on active paid Growth after the trial. Connect your X account through OAuth in Sync Socials Connections; connecting your agent does not connect X. Your workspace shares up to 50 publish attempts per UTC month, including up to 3 with links, and 10 per day. Each X account is limited to 30 per month and 3 per day. Check the remaining allowance before publishing. See X limits.

Refresh your client’s tool list or installed Sync Socials instructions if it still says X is unsupported. Check current workspace capabilities and the X allowance before publishing.

Manage and disconnect access

ChatGPT can use the workspace you approve to read workspace, brand, account, media, and post information; create or edit content; and act on selected publishing requests. Content returned by the app is available to ChatGPT for your request. See the Sync Socials Privacy Policy; ChatGPT's settings and policies also apply.

To revoke access, open Settings → Connected agents and disconnect ChatGPT. You can also remove the app from ChatGPT. Existing drafts and schedules remain, so cancel unwanted schedules separately. This does not disconnect your social accounts or Claude authorization.

Connection help

If connection is unavailable, check your ChatGPT account or organization app settings. If Sync Socials asks for Owner or API access, sign in with the workspace owner and check your billing status in Settings.

For an expired authorization, start a fresh connection from the app listing. If a destination needs reconnection, reconnect that social account in Sync Socials before trying to publish again. Verify the destination before retrying a post whose outcome is uncertain.

Contact Sync Socials support with the error and affected workflow. Do not include passwords, API keys, OAuth secrets, or access tokens.
