Schedule TikTok posts with Direct Post

Connect a TikTok account, set the choices TikTok requires on every post, and queue a video or photo post for a time in your workspace timezone. Sync Socials sends it through TikTok's Direct Post API. TikTok finishes processing on its side.

How to schedule TikTok posts

TikTok publishes through its Direct Post API. You write the post in Sync Socials. At the time you choose, a background worker sends the video or photos to your account, and TikTok finishes processing. The steps below are the ones in the TikTok help guide and the scheduling guide.

  1. Open Connections and choose Connect TikTok.
  2. Sign in to TikTok and keep both requested permissions enabled. If you remove one, the connection fails with a permission error. Reconnect and approve both.
  3. In the composer, start a video or photo post. TikTok needs media, so a text-only post will not offer TikTok. Switching post type clears incompatible accounts.
  4. Select the TikTok account. The composer then asks for the settings TikTok requires on that post.
  5. Enter a date and time, or use the suggested slots. Times are read in the workspace timezone shown beside the field. Schedule queues the post. Publish now sends it immediately. Save draft keeps it with no time.

The connected account shows its display name and avatar. Several TikTok accounts can be connected to one workspace. A free workspace can connect one account per platform. Growth includes up to 20 per platform, and Agency up to 50.

Scheduled posts show on the Calendar. Drag one to another day or time to reschedule it. You can edit a scheduled post from Home or Drafts until it starts publishing. New workspaces start in America/New_York until you confirm a timezone in Settings. See timezones and scheduled times.

Settings on every TikTok post

These choices appear in the composer when a TikTok account is selected:

  • Visibility. The list comes live from your TikTok account settings, so a private account only sees private options.
  • Comments, duets, and stitches. All off by default. Turn on the ones you want.
  • Commercial content. Declare brand-organic or branded content when the post promotes something. Branded content cannot be private.
  • Music usage confirmation. Tick the box to confirm you have rights to the audio. Sync Socials cannot publish to TikTok without it.

After Sync Socials hands the post to TikTok, processing can take a few minutes before it appears on the profile. Posted shows the result once TikTok confirms it. If a post is still processing after an hour, open it from Posted. If one destination fails, you can retry the failed ones without resending the ones that succeeded. See why a post fails.

TikTok formats and media limits

Sync Socials checks media against each selected platform before anything is sent. These are the TikTok rules in the media requirements and the TikTok connect guide.

  • Video. One video. It publishes as a regular TikTok video. TikTok finishes processing after the upload.
  • Photo posts. Supported. Images are resized to fit inside TikTok's 1080p picture bounds. The campaign title is used as the photo title.
  • A different TikTok caption or title. Choose Show all options for a different caption, or a different title for TikTok. Blank fields fall back to the shared caption. Tags are appended as hashtags where the platform supports them.
  • Upload types. Images: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, up to 25 MB each. Videos: MP4, M4V, MOV, up to 250 MB. MOV and other QuickTime files are converted to H.264 MP4. Up to 10 files per upload, and 250 MB per upload in total.

Caption limits for the selected account appear under the destination list in the composer. The help center does not publish a TikTok character count, a maximum number of photos in one photo post, or how far ahead a TikTok post can be queued. You can also select TikTok alongside other connected accounts in the same post, with per-destination copy where you need it.

Sync Socials does not ask for your TikTok password. The account connects through TikTok's own sign-in.

Draft and schedule TikTok with ChatGPT, Claude, or MCP

The ChatGPT app, the Claude plugin, and the hosted MCP server can schedule TikTok after the account is connected. Connecting an assistant does not connect TikTok. Add the account in Connections first, then ask the assistant to list connected accounts before you pick a destination.

A free Sync Socials account can connect ChatGPT or Claude and save drafts. No API key is required for those two. Scheduling, publishing, campaign concepts, and video production start the 7-day trial. API-key clients such as Codex, Claude Code, and OpenClaw need a trial or paid plan and a workspace API key. The agent overview compares the three setups.

Start with a draft that does not publish:

Save this caption as an untargeted Sync Socials draft: “A small update that makes the everyday easier.” Name it “TikTok draft.” Do not schedule or publish it.

When the caption and media are the ones you want, name the TikTok account and the choices TikTok requires:

Schedule my approved “TikTok draft” to the TikTok account I selected on October 15, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. America/New_York. Keep the caption and media unchanged. Include the visibility, interaction settings, commercial disclosure, and music confirmation TikTok requires. Show me the saved schedule.

Claude uses existing images and videos. It does not generate images, footage, speech, or music. ChatGPT concept and media generation may need an AI provider configured in the workspace, billed by that provider, and can finish asynchronously. Check the saved post before you schedule it.

Content Studio can turn a business brief into concepts with a hook, caption, and hashtags, then produce a vertical video from library clips or footage you upload. Those results are saved as drafts. Nothing is scheduled until you approve it. Rendering from library clips is included. Optional provider-rendered video uses your own Runway credits. See Content Studio and your own AI key.

Files attached in a ChatGPT or Claude conversation are not automatically in your Sync Socials media library. Use a library asset, upload in the dashboard, or give a downloadable HTTPS URL you are allowed to use.

Pricing

TikTok scheduling uses the same plans as the rest of Sync Socials. There is no per-post fee. Full plan details are on the homepage pricing section and in billing, the trial, and cancellation.

Free account, no card

Connect one account per platform (X excluded). Unlimited drafts and a media library. Scheduling and publishing are not included yet.

7-day trial, then Growth

Agency

$39.99/month or $399/year. Adds team invitations, 50 accounts per platform, and three API keys.

If Agency is not offered on your Billing page yet, the billing guide says it is still rolling out. Email [email protected] and support can set it up. Cancel any time from the billing portal. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid a charge.

The billing guide lists analytics for Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. It does not list TikTok analytics. Posted still records whether each TikTok destination was delivered, failed, or still processing.

FAQ

How do I schedule a TikTok post in Sync Socials?

Connect TikTok from Connections and approve both requested permissions. In the composer, add a video or photos, set visibility, interaction options, commercial disclosure if the post promotes something, and the music usage confirmation. Choose Schedule and a time in your workspace timezone. Sync Socials queues the post and sends it through TikTok's Direct Post API.

Can I schedule TikTok photo posts as well as videos?

Yes. Photo posts are supported and are resized to fit inside TikTok's 1080p picture bounds. The campaign title is used as the photo title. Videos publish as regular TikTok videos, one video per post. TikTok needs media, so a text-only post cannot select a TikTok account.

What does TikTok require before a scheduled post can publish?

Sync Socials cannot publish to TikTok without the music usage confirmation. Visibility options come from that TikTok account, so a private account only sees private options. Comments, duets, and stitches start off. Branded content cannot be private. If you remove a permission while connecting, reconnect and approve both.

Can ChatGPT, Claude, or an MCP agent schedule TikTok posts?

Yes, after the TikTok account is connected in Sync Socials. Connecting the assistant does not connect TikTok. A free workspace can save drafts. Scheduling and publishing start the 7-day trial. Name the account, date, time, timezone, and the disclosure choices TikTok requires. Claude schedules existing images and videos and does not generate them.

How much does it cost to schedule TikTok posts?

Exploring is free and needs no card: one account per platform, except X, and unlimited drafts. Scheduling starts a 7-day trial at $0 today, then Growth is $19.95 per month or $199.50 per year unless you cancel first. Agency is $39.99 per month or $399 per year. There is no per-post fee.

Will a scheduled TikTok post get less reach?

Sync Socials publishes through TikTok's API. Reach and engagement depend on the platform, content, audience, and timing. Identical performance to a manual post cannot be guaranteed.
